I've tested quite a few golf rangefinders over the years, and this one falls into an interesting category. It offers many of the features you'd expect from higher-end models while still coming in below the price of some of the big-name premium brands. Overall quality is excellent. The housing feels solid, the optics are clear, and the controls are easy to learn. It feels like a well-built piece of equipment rather than a budget gadget. Ease of use is one of its strengths. The menu system is straightforward, readings are quick, and switching between functions is simple. The magnetic cart mount and USB-C charging are especially nice conveniences that make everyday use easier. Accuracy appears very good in practical use. I don't have professional surveying equipment to verify exact measurements, but the distances have consistently seemed reliable and useful on the course. Adjustability is also well thought out. Features such as slope mode and tournament-legal settings are easy to access, allowing you to configure it for different types of play. Portability is excellent for a unit with this feature set. It fits easily in a golf bag and doesn't feel cumbersome to carry around during a round. Durability also inspires confidence. The construction feels robust enough to handle regular golf use, transportation, and the occasional bump around the course. The biggest question is value. This model is priced higher than many budget rangefinders that can accomplish the basic task of measuring distance. However, the additional features, better build quality, and overall refinement help justify the higher price. If you're simply looking for the cheapest way to get yardages, there are less expensive options available. If you're looking for a higher-quality rangefinder with premium-style features without stepping all the way into flagship pricing, this is a very attractive option. Overall, this is a well-designed, feature-rich rangefinder with strong performance, excellent usability, and solid value for golfers who want something a step above the budget category.

No more shaky views!

The OIS on this Golvia Ultra is a game-changer. I used to struggle with shaky hands at long distances, but this locks onto the pin instantly and stays rock-steady. Worth every penny!

High quality range finder that is accurate, easy to use, and built to last

The Golvia Pro Range Finder Golf 1200 Yards comes with a harndy zippered case that can be attached to your person in multiple ways. There is a metal clip to attach it onto yoour belt or you can use a heavy-duty grosgrain loop that can be threaded onto your belt. It is the range fincder itself that has a VERY strong magnet,not the case. The case is hard and opens like a clam shell with the secured end on the bottom. There are wide elastic gussets inside to keep it from flying wide open, so the range finder issafe when you unzip it. You can actually leave the zipper undone and use the elastic cord to close it for quick and easy access. The device is a solid build, well designed and of very good quaality. It is a nice size and is very comfortable to hold. Adjusting the rotary eyepiece knob is difficult, but once you seet it for yourself, it's fine. I just find it a small radius to get a good hold on while turning something that is very tight. It is easy to use and the visuals are clear and easy to read. The instructpoklet is well illustrated with helpful drawings and information. We're using it more for target practice but it has good features for golf. The vibration alert once it locates a flag during a scan is very useful This is a high quality range finder that is accurate and easy to use. I definitely can recommed it.

Accurate Range Finder

A good range finder. Comes in a nice case and easy to use and operate. Insions are easy to read and the options with all the range functions to findtance are good and easy to use. Charges fairly fast and last for a while b you have to recharge the unit. I've used this on the firing range with my rifle and it's pretty accurate.Can't wait to try it out on the golf course and when I go hiking and camping Perfect device for almost any outdoor activity where you need to knowhow far. Functions very well and good value.

More than a simple rangefinder, it's almost a "HUD" because there is so much information.

It takes hours to charge, but once charged, it seems like it can work forseveral laps. In my video, I slightly missed the initial positioning of the "slope" by pcing it in the middle of a conifer. This is due to the difficulty of filming through this lens. The fact remairis that the altitude difference is well evaluated when I move from left to right. I really like the visual feedback that the OLED screen allows you to get wwith the green circle that gives a signal when there is an adjustment. The OLED screen also allows you to have a constant display betvween daylight in full sun and darkness at the end of the day. I show the real weight in one of my photos. It's only slightly lighter than a smartphone.

Excellent Pro Range Finder!

This range finder will knock your socks off! It's an excellent piece of kit, with solid magnification and accurate rangefindingcapabilities. It has some very solid additional features that are often found on higher price RFs such as slope detection andthe tri-measure feature that works well for measuring the distance beetween two points. I really like the OLED screen that is very visible no matter the outdoor conditions. The writing inside the scope is legible, even on a bright day. The case, clip etc. were also of good quality.
